Legalize drugs and there will be no more huge profits for the black market which is where the violence is coming from. Prohibition spawns all of the serious problems related to drugs. Educating people with the truth about drugs and their effects and using all the money wasted on the drug war to help addicts is really the only answer. Prohibition does not work and never will.

All you need to bring up to someone who is anti-drugs is the 4th amendment of the Constitution. "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." What is more private than what we put in our own bodies?
