It might have a 6-8 hr half life but it can take anywhere from 2 weeks to a month for 5AR2 and thus DHT production to come back online -- that is, *if* 5AR2 enzymes do come back in those tissues they were surpressed in (for those with permanent issues, nobody has been tested to confirm yes or no, as residual DHT can still be produced by 5AR1, even in 5AR2 deficient pseudohermaphrodites). Genetic, Androgen Receptor, and 5AR2 enzyme testing via genital skin fibroblast cultures may provide answers.
