Description: Psoriasis Cure Now!: "Affected With Psoriasis" :60 (New Yorker Affected With Psoriasis) V.O.: My father has it. My mother has it. I have it. And, if I have a child or children, he or she just might have it. What am I talking about here? PSORIASIS. It's not a good feeling to have especially when you had it since a kid. People look at it and act like I got some kind of contagious disease or something. Sure it helps with prescription but it still doesn't make it go away, you know? Not to mention it's pretty costly without insurance. Yeah, I deal with the pain, mostly the inner pain. My bed sheet can get bloody because I keep scratching. I cover myself up always. So, I wait for the one day, Congress pushes really hard to find a cure so I can run out in sun, you know? In my shirts with my gal ... I just hope that it's not too late but not for me, for her. She's kind of worried about her weight and cellulite. Oh, yeah, she wants to know, will there be cure for that too? V.O. written by Sonya Rose. Website for Contest: Psoriasis Cure Now! 2007 Contest http://www.psoriasis-cure-now.org/ ABOUT PSORIASIS CURE NOW Contest Entry: This is a 60 second PSA of a male affected by Psoriasis since a child. He suffers with well over 125 million people throughout the world: 7.5 million in the USA alone. There is NO absolute cure for psoriasis. Sure, there are many treatments; but, each has a different level of desired success for each person affected. Psoriasis is a chronic disease affecting both sexes. It is characterized by thick, red, silvery, scaled patches of the skin located on the elbows, knees, other parts of the legs, scalp, lower back, face, palms, soles of the feet, fingernails, toenails, genitals, and inside the mouth. It is most common (getting it) between the ages of 15 and 35; although, it can occur at any age. There is no known cause or cure to date. However, there is evidence that genetics and the immune system may be involved. Recent research has pointed to an abnormality of the immune system's T-cells as the source. Dedicated to a greater good, Michael Paranzino, president of Psoriasis Cure Now leads the way, helping to find a cure, to strengthen the federal government's commitment to research on psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. i have this all over my face and its infected, bloody image killing thing to have, but great video thanks.

Psoriasis does not affect or cause hair loss except in extreme cases. You need to visit you local GP

im a 17 year old girl i have psoriasis on my legs, arms, stomach, back, scalp and even a bit on my face.. im getting used to it at this stage but the past two weeks clumps and clumps of my hair has been falling out.. im terrified.. i have a few bald patches and the hair is just coming out if i even touch it.. iv never been so down.. does anyone know why this is happening my hair?

The stuff I listed above used to be sold at your local pharmacy but for some reason all of them stopped selling it about 2 years ago. Luckily you can still buy it on the internet. Do not fall for the coal tar substitution. It is smelly and is only about half as effictive.

Try MG 217 Sal-Acid Ointment with Vitamin E. This stuff ranges from about $6.00 a jar. It does not cure psoriasis but once it is applied let it sit for about 15-20 minutes. Now you can scrape off the flakes but they will be almost in a gel form and it makes it so soft you wont bleed when scraping. Also try a shampoo cal Sebulux. This stuff is better than that smelly coal tar crappy shampoo. It has sort of a minty smell but it softens the scales so they are easily removed if you have it on scalp.

Hello Psoriasis can be cured with First Vita Plus natural health drink. A health drink that comes naturally from vegetables. A lot of people were cured and has been spreading the news about this amazing product. Let me be an instrument of hope. God bless

yeah i got this crap to pretty bad, i did use raptiva, but it almost gave lukemia and im scared of all that injection stuff, i got really sick too with it, topicals for me dont seem to help much, so have you heard of any new information through groups or somthing like that?? thanks brother

Well, it's tough to say which is the best over the counter product. Best are thicker creams 'cause they trap moisture & keep it in your skin the longest. I'm a big fan of aloe vera. A Swedish study has shown that topical 0.5% aloe vera cream dramatically improved psoriasis symptoms in 83% of participants. Speaking of petroleum jelly, my oldest sister has been using that underneath her eyes for the past 20 years. She doesn't have any wrinkles. So that product must trap in alot of moisture.

I am currently dealing with Psoriasis myself. It is very depressing not being able to show off your skin like I want too. It messes with my confidence as well it is weird. I never had this before in my life. Mine occured back in 2007. But, I plan to cure this so my skin can turn back to normal. Are there any over the counter creams you guess recommend. I have Clobetasol prescribed to me and it helps other than that I just keep my skin oiled down with Petroleum Jelly.

i know what you are all going through because i had this psoriasis forever but there is something called remacaide that works its a IV that they put in you and after a few treatments with the remacaide its amazing it goes away 100% the only down side is if you don't have health insurance the treatment is over 4,000 dollars but look up remacaide on you tube and they will tell you all about it i would recamend it for any one that has psoriasis

Recently I came across a non steroid cream for Psoriasis, its real help me a lot. IT is abt US30. ckkcsl@pd.jaring.my.... .

Ive had it forever and I just started making my own colloidal silver for about a week now and its helping a lot. let me know if this helps anyone or if you have questions k?! peace-im out!

Avoid: - dairy - meat - sugar - nightshades - white flour - shellfish - nuts - alcohol

Well, I tried to convey those traits in my Psoriasis Cure Now videos: toughness, humor, hope. Whatever it takes to get by. Interesting you should say carrot juice. I used to have a juicer & it took an entire bag of carrots to make one small glass of juice! Easier to buy carrot juice at the market today! I hear if you drink it 2 weeks before you go out in the sun, surf or ski or hanging at the beach, you'll get a nice glow ... Someone told me that the sun and saltwater helped his skin condition.

Hey there SonyaRose... I like that you used some humor in this.. it's a heavy subject... my oldest brother has psoriasis and I remember how it was for him socially growing up... he used humor to get through it... or toughness when he had too... I should also mention that he drank carrot juice and this reduced the affected areas. It was a old remedy that my great uncle had suggested... and ... I remember it worked! All the best, Wa11ace.

Well, hang in there; as you get older people seem to sympathize more, are more understanding, not so judgemental. I'm sure sometimes you want to shout out at the world. My friend who has psoriasis shaved his head & uses a Topical Solution 0.05 % (Fougera Clobetasol Propionate) at least once daily to affected areas on his head & Ointment 0.05% (Clobetasol Propionate) on his body. It helps~

Well, yeah ... but, try to keep in mind the majority of the world has self-esteem issues as in: not good looking enough, not smart enough, not talented enough, just not enough ... not enough money to correct this health condition for good. It's been around since 35 AD and most likely beyond that. What we need more than self-esteem is hope, faith, a little love. So, I still remain hopeful...Hang in there~

im only 16 and ive had psoraisis for 5 years now and i agree, its very self-esteem degrading, it started as a single patch at the edge of my hairline by my forhead now its almost covered my entire forehead and spread to my upper arms shoulders and back and small almost about the same size as the eraser at the end of a pencil around my neck and ears, since im so young ppl my age dont usually grasp the concept of what i have, so i neglect to mention unless they ask... its depressing for me

I've got is as well. Scalp, ears, upper arms and starting to creep down to my belly button. Yeah, it sucks not being able to wear dark color clothes since I stick to whites/khakis to make the flakes seem less visible. But I deal with it. I try and live a normal a life as possible, even though it affects my self esteem, theres nothing you can do about it, you know? So, I just live with it. The itchiness, scratching and bleeding in the hopes that one day, not too far way, a cure will be found.

Thanks; I will check it out. My friend's folks both have psoriasis and he grew up with it as well. I really feel his pain; he cannot afford medicine all the time. But, even so, it never has gone away. It's very frustrating.

Take a look at Dr. John O.A. Pagano's book: Healing Pshoriasis ISBN0-9628847-0-7:Softcover I used this and it works. This is not just a treatment, it is a cure! I don't know why people don't know about this. Please tell someone with psoriasis, people like me that did not know what to do until they found this book.

Ye i had this happen to me mate but, i used this shampoo called Oilatum, theres 2 versions, a bath version and shampoo version, i used bath 1 every night and shampoo one every other night and all the patches on my head went and most did on my body :D

i love people ive got psoriasis and im going bald fuck!!

Great video. I found that Lovostatin medication along with Singulair helps. The Cetaphil lotions and cleanser work. They have them at Walmart. Good luck. Please get your triglyceride reading tested. IT may have something to do with that.

It's possible that you may have Psoriasis. Maybe, a biochemist can examine some of your fibers under a microscope to see the root of the problem. It may have something to do with the environment. If it's not genetic, it could be coming from the food, water, or air-the source. Vaccines, meds, or could be the chemicals in the shampoo, chemical exposures. You could have an 'unknown' allergy, to certain metals, nickel, SLS in your toothpaste. Could be the coffee. I hope your scalp will heal truly...
