ronsimple, there are two types of hemp oil. the one you refer to is pressed from the seeds and is indeed just a cooking oil. in contrast, the one described in the video is an extract from the resin and is a strong medicine.

Hemp oil is made from the bud using a solvent such as naphtha or ether which absorbs the cannaboids and THC and other medicinal compounds and then the solvent is evaporated off... i guess the video covers this.

Where do you get hemp oil?Do you have to make it yourself?I iknow that "cold-pressed" hemp oil is available & I have ordered some but they say this kind does not contain any THC & is a lighter oil almost more like a cooking oil.

I wonder...if one boiled it in pure water and reduced it down? I would think the benefits would be the same. The heat would be less that "burning" it via smoking so it shouldn't destroy the THC. A thick tea? Take a 1/2 teaspoon type thing? lite boiling in distilled water in a stainless steel pot? I steep OREGANO and Cinnamon down this way for a tea. Wonderful healing benefits too.

Well not necessarily (in regards to getting sicker). Some leeching chemicals are cumulative in effect and you wouldn't notice it as a immediate reaction. BPA for instance is a hormone imitator. Others may just irritate. Keep in mind to the use of plastics and petroleum based resins are massively carcinogenic. Too bad the solvent comes in plastic. But in any case, it simply would be more "pure" (in my opinion)if you could mix it in non-plastic. There very well could be a reaction to the plastic once the solvent/plants are mixed, who knows. It doesn't take much to bind with some nasty compound in the plastic itself.
