There are two extremes that must be avoided in meditation: trance(laxity,letargy),and excitation.Laxity and therefore trance is a derivative of delusion, while excitation is a derivative of compulsive desire.The middle path is concise and vivid awareness,which can be achieved with introspection.Awareness and introspection are derivative of intelligence. This is buddhist psychology.Spacing out or becoming laxy or being in trance is what buddhism is not.The bowls are good,though.Overcome trance!

I purchased it at the gift shop of the International Buddhist Temple in Vancouver, BC. However, another good version is on a CD titled 'Tibetan Incantations' which is more widely available.

these bowls just place you in a trance, i love them. i got a chance to play with one at a shop, and its amazing, the sound tends to come out of nowhere and resonate towards you, its awesome.
