Description: Pink is more than the color for breast cancer awareness: it represents a promise made between two sisters to end breast cancer forever. That single, powerful promise made 25 years ago by Nancy G. Bricker to her sister Susan G. Komen, who died of breast cancer at age 36, became Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the largest and most progressive breast cancer organization in the world. During October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Susan G. Komen for the Cure is challenging organizations large and small to join the global breast cancer movement. To engage advocates in a fun way, Komen for the Cure is launching Passionately Pink for the Cure™, a national fundraising program that makes it easy for anyone and everyone to play a part in ending breast cancer forever. The premise is simple: change your clothes to change the world. The program encourages organizations across the country to pick any day in October to proudly wear pink and make a $5 or more personal contribution to Susan G. Komen for the Cure as a way of sharing Komen's promise to end breast cancer forever. Author and TV personality René Syler is serving as the chief passionista of the program's newly inaugurated Celebrity Board, which encourages anyone and everyone to go "Passionately Pink." For this radio interview, Syler will be joined by Miss USA Rachel Smith, another member of the Passionately Pink for the Cure Celebrity Board, offering listeners information about how they can participate in the program and advocate for change. Organizations and individuals can log onto PassionatelyPink.org now to sign up and receive all the materials necessary to get started. KEY STATS: In 2007, it is estimated that nearly 200,000 women and men will be diagnosed with breast cancer and more than 40,000 will die. Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer and the second leading cause of cancer-related death (after lung and bronchial cancer) among women in the United States. This interview is sponsored by Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

thanks for the video - check out Atlanta's new video presentation.

Susan G. Komen for the Cure raises money for vivisection. This is fraudulent science and will never find a 'cure' for cancer. Please support research charities that do NOT fund animal cruelty and human death.
