Every year, hundreds of thousands of Americans hear those dreaded words. It's cancer. Suddenly, a family, and in this case, entire nation is shaken to its core. Senator Ted Kennedy today was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. And it seems that part of our history is changing before our eyes.
In his 76 years, Senator Kennedy has faced more than his share of setbacks, struggles, and sorrows.
The world knows them only too well. Like many Americans, Senator Kennedy will have to weigh and analyze his options for treatment. He will get the best care possible.
Knowing how passionately this man feels about providing health care for all Americans, I'm sure he wishes every cancer patient would have quality treatment. After all, that may be one of his greatest legacies.
