A cartoon by Nina Paley features the philosophical discussions of cancer. If the philosophy of the cancer cell seems reminiscent of our own civilization, well, I'm sure that's just coincidence, right?

No, Trampaz, you're wrong: Picture yourself locked in your home, with no drains going out of the house and no supplies going in. I ASSURE you, you CAN produce too much crap for your own survival and that of anyone who happens to be living with you in a finite environment. The more people in the house, the faster it happens. People absolutely MUST be denied the right to "have as many kids as they want." Their decision affects the wellbeing of everyone else on the planet.
You cannot deny people the right to have children, or have as many children as they want. What we have to abandon are these euphemistic and bullshit ideas such as "save the planet", and actually start being a little bit honest about the real problems we face. Such as HUMAN extinction. No matter how much plastic or crap we produce, the planet will find a way to incorporate it into it's system, only we'll be left out of the equation, 'cause we were too fucking stupid as a species.
very true, great work
Do you think anyone who watches this ever actually thinks about it afterwards and maybe decides that having children really might be an indescribably irresponsible thing to do?
Amazing work!
great
Hhahah very good!
sad
Great vid! (love the name of the cancer 'host')
There is so much to learn from this.
Is this some kind of fucking joke??
I had high hopes for this based on the description.
