Technically, Vitamin D is classified as a "seco-steroid." A couple thousand milligrams of vitamin D is the equivalent to 12 minutes out in the sun per day.

Its a steroid hormone. Do I really want to take thousand of milligrams of a steroid hormone? Should I worry about masculinization, acne or other steroid effects?
